Yes. Origano Pro is $3 USD/month or $20 USD/year, compared to Samsung Food's Food+ plan at $6.99/month or $59.99/year, and Origano's free plan has no ads.
No account is required to sign up, but many of Samsung Food's deeper integrations (Samsung Health, some device bundles) assume a Samsung ecosystem. Origano is fully independent of any hardware brand.
Origano uses AI to import recipes from websites, Instagram and Facebook reels, translate recipes, convert measurements, and clean up your grocery list of pantry staples. Samsung Food additionally offers Vision AI ingredient scanning from photos, which Origano does not yet have.
