Delete your Origano account
You can delete your account and all the data attached to it at any time, free of charge, from the Android app, the website, or by writing to us.
From the app or the website
- Sign in to Origano.
- Tap your account icon at the top right, then Account.
- At the bottom of the page, tap Delete my account, then confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. An active Pro subscription is cancelled at the same time.
Without access to your account
No longer have the app or your password? Write to us from your account's email address and ask for it to be deleted. We delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted
Your profile, your recipes and their photos, your recipe books, your categories, your menus, your grocery lists, your shares and your preferences. Nothing is kept in the application once the deletion is done.
What is kept, and for how long
- Database backups, used only to restore it after an outage, are erased no later than 30 days after the deletion.
- If you ever paid for a subscription, receipts and payment records are kept by our payment processor for as long as the law requires.
